2. Squaw Valley – A true skiers mountain, fantastic Village with great array for restaurants and bars with some of the best terrain in North America, not to mention the 10 metres of snowfall  ever year.
3. Value for Money – Compared to Utah and Colorado Lake Tahoe is a bargain,  probably the cheapest ski area in the US.  Don’t worry though if you are after a bit of luxury it’s there too.
4. San Francisco – Only four hours away,  San Fran is the perfect stopover city to visit after a couple of weeks on the slopes.
5. Heavenly – Split in two by the state boarders  California and Nevada – The California side it’s a ski resort with traditional ski accommodation the other side is Nevada with huge high rise and all the pleasures of sin city.
